The 2022 Izzo 5K Run/Walk/Roll will be held on April 16, the morning of the spring football game. The Race Committee will continue to follow the guidelines of the university, local, city, state, and public health officials to ensure a safe experience for all Izzo 5K participants.
The Izzo family has partnered with Playmakers to host this premium experience on the campus of Michigan State University. The mission is to connect Alumni, the MSU and Mid-Michigan communities in a positive celebration of Coach Izzo's legacy. The events include a 5K Run/Walk, 5K Roll, 3/4 Mile Walk, Children's Races and a Virtual 5K; all events will focus on fitness, fun, family, Spartan spirit and charitable giving!
Proceeds from the 2022 Izzo Legacy Run/Walk/Roll will create an endowment for the Izzo Legacy Family Fund that will ensure charitable giving for years to come. In addition, participants can donate to select local charities through the registration process or on the donate page. Fans who donate $1,000 to one or more of the selected local charities will be acknowledged on the Donor Banner displayed at the Izzo Legacy Event.
Tom and I have certainly been blessed to be a part of this community and we feel a genuine obligation to give back to the MSU and Mid-Michigan communities that have become such a large part of our lives. One of the reasons we’ve never left Michigan State is the connection to our community.
